Libny Kattapuram is an Indian music composer, music director, songwriter, music programmer and record producer from Kerala. He has scored background music & composed hundreds of songs in the Malayalam language. Some of his popular hits are Prakkalepol naam paraneedume, Nin krooshil allathenikken nathane and En priya yeshuve. Another beloved song, Ella navum padivazthum, is sung by KS Chitra, one of South India’s highly sought after playback singers.

Born on 18 November 1980 to Pastor Thomas Mathew (IPC Vechoochira District Pastor) & Mrs Annamma Thomas, Libny spent his early years in Kerala & Bengaluru pursuing his education. His career growth aspirations brought him to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. His penchant for creativity saw him excel in UI/UX designing. Backed with strong software programming knowledge and years of work experience in marketing, Libny is today a multi-faceted Digital Marketer working on Social Media campaigns, creating Web Portals and Video Ads. His high-profile projects portfolio include the likes of Nissan Middle East, China Construction, Dubai Municipality and ETA Group amongst many others and are a testament to his expertise in web design & development.

Libny has always nurtured his passion for music at every opportunity. Since 1995, with his limited exposure, Libny has gone on to compose music for over 150 songs and score background music for many popular songs. He has also created background scores for short films.

Libny embarked on his musical journey writing the song “Thann Mahimasannhidyil” in 1995. He later moved to music composition with the song “Prathyashayin Thazvarayil”. With every song, he kept learning and improving to understand all aspects of music, from composition till production.

Over the years, his all-round experience has helped Libny gain many insights that continue to inspire his passion for creating music that enraptures his audience.

Noted for retaining the traditional style in devotional musical compositions infused with blissful melodies, Libny’s songs are sung in many Christian Congregations across the world.
